You are probably just not old enough to understand it yet. I wasn't for a long while. Love and heartbreak are two of the most deeply affecting emotional situations that in combination can be quite deadly. For this, I applaud Catullus. The man was a genius, both heartfelt and literary. But while the latter can be learned, the former can only be experienced. When you experience it, then you'll understand.
